Job responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:Contribute to product specific Material Savings goals. Work with suppliers, to develop sources that meet quality, cost and lead time goals, support inventory goals and scale capacity.
1, Identify new and/or alternate sources of supply to support business objectives;
2, Manage suppliers to improve pricing, delivery, quality, and design. Develop and help suppliers meet cost, delivery, and quality requirements;
3, Review and plan cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies.Conduct the Request-For-Quotation (RFQ) process, perform cost breakdowns and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis;
4, Monitor commodity market trends; effectively reflect market dynamic in terms of supply, cost, etc;
5, On an as needed basis, conduct product sample inspection to ensure quality and assist in supplier approval audits; Address product quality issues as they arise and facilitate corrective action process (if necessary);
6, Adheres to all quality and safety standards, support other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
1, 5 years Sourcing or Procurement experiences. Data analysis ability, understand Excel formula and functions;
2, Project management experience: Strong project management skills including the ability to work on multiple large-scale projects concurrently through the sourcing and contracting process;
3, Major in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical) with over 6 years of work experience in a professional setting;
4, ERP & SolidWorks, AutoCAD software experience preferred.
5, Basic understanding of various production processes.
6, IE or/and LEAN manufacturing experiences preferred.
